A work from home job can offer many benefits, but it also poses a time management dilemma especially for parents with young kids at home. Parents who work from home face the common problem of getting their families to respect their time and understand that they actually do have a job.
The fact that work from home jobs don't require you to dress up or leave the house can make it easy for your family and friends to forget that you actually have all the responsibility of an office job with deadlines to meet that are not negotiable. This is one of the biggest challenges faced by those who work from home, because the distractions are so much greater in a home environment than in a typical office. It takes a lot of discipline to stay on track and devote your full attention to the job at hand.

The convention center in Ontario, California will play host to a free two-day job fair that provides information and resources to a wide range of job seekers, including those who desire a work from home job. Instead, the Employment Options Expo is designed to be a one-stop shop that brings together employers, colleges, government agencies and other organizations to offer everything from work-at-home opportunities to information on trade programs and access to entrepreneurial assistance. Over 70 organizations will be represented at the expo, and organizers are expecting 2,000 to 3,000 visitors each day.

Marketing Department is a Texas-based online creative ad agency that is now providing free business websites to those who are looking to increase their family income and work from home. For the unemployed, starting an online business can be a way to bring in extra income. As the founder of Marketing Department has said, the economy is brutal. At first the company considered simply reducing their fees, but that didn't seem to be enough.
The company will provide web design, help with copywriting, free coaching and a free year of web hosting with unlimited email. The founder believes this is the best solution to help people make money, rather than just offering a small savings through fee reduction. He believes that many people who are unemployed can probably come up with a product or service that they can sell online, and a website would help to make that happen.
